There Comes a Time When Inspiration Is No Longer Enough

This article explores the difference between being inspired and becoming a builder.

  • Why information alone doesn't create change.  Information is a great resource when you are searching for answers or seeking to satisfy one's curiosity. And once you find and acquire the information what does one do with it? Will you keep it for yourself? Use and apply the information as it applies to your present and future life journey? Will you share it with others and show them how the information impacted you and your life? See acquiring information is only the beginning, the information provides the keys to unlock even more information but until that information is put to work it's simply words on paper with no real meaning. To begin creating change the first step is to acquire the information you need the second step is to understand the information and how it actually applies to you personally, professionally or business for you. The third step is to learn the information do your fact check and begin to implement the information into actions.  Only when you begin to put the information into actions does change begin to sprout it's new roots and this is only the beginning of the growth to come the more you learn the more you do the more what you do begins to change you, your life and everything that is attached to you.
  • The importance of taking responsibility. You know how you keep telling yourself one day when the time is right I am going to do... Yeah, me too until one day I realized that I would have to be the one to take responsibility for my success as well as failures and for me this discovery was early in my life of adolescents right after graduating high school just like so many others it's a period of many transitions to come. Having to speak up for myself, I remember it feeling terrifying as the realization of becoming that adult that I couldn't wait to be well that day has come and gone but every job interview, every teacher, professor, every employer all played a part in the journey. Once I began to open my mouth and speak what I wanted and starting taking action to get it was the day I discovered that there is no one to blame for any part of of my life.  That was deep, and so self full filling, because everything from that day forward was based from every decision, habit, skills, tools, joy and pains to have what I wanted and you know looking back it was not all bad because each step built confidence in who I was becoming as a individual. Once you begin to take responsibility over your own life, life will give you more responsibility, it's funny that way...but taking responsibility doesn't always mean that you will be perfect it simply means that you are not only becoming who God created you to be but you are understanding who you are and who you are in this world and what good qualities that you can not only add to your life but show and or share someone how you do what you do through the grace of God and his grace. Because taking responsibility for ones own life is not cute and it doesn't always feel good and you have to do what you have to do, to do what you want to do- within your morals, principles, values, ethics and belief  as you see yourself and what you put out to others but don't take yourself to seriously life is meant to be lived and to think about it even now when things become challenging I think of all the times I have made it through with God myself and we know that God works through others so in the times you may feel alone remember with every lesson God is there in your journey some times those rejections are often God's for or redirection / protection so you can become who God has already written you to be in the journey.
  • What you've learned about moving from learning to doing.  Going from learning to doing is the best part of the process because you now get to put what you have learned in to motion and starting out feels sort of weird, anxious, queezy, yet you have to do it.  I was in training don't know if it was morning training afternoon or evening train one thing learning anything new it is advise to learn as much as you can from those who are doing and having been doing for a while talking twenty years or more at the least 10 because in doing your still learning. What works well to put it shortly, You, lol right? I work everyday no different than anyone else doing their best to make a difference in this world starting at their own address yet anyway one works. What doesn't work?  Again, the answer is me too but not with all things that comes with doing? I can plan the work so over a period of time how many people can I actually talk to on one given day being realistic not a lot maybe my coworkers but after the first introduction or bit of information you have to venture out. The family, well they know you to be always doing something but they just not sure exactly what you are going to stick to doing because you do so much all the time. In taking responsibility for how you will build takes noting away from those who have taught you as long as you remain coachable is how one learns. The ability to adapt sometimes swiftly and or as needed/ necessary. Learning to doing first practice what you have while you plan in person meetings. Prepare introduction letters letting your schools, churches, your community and surrounding area's let them know that you are open for business.  That's right you are out there with simply a product with no message, you have the connection of the services if you are utilizing them if your not wow going at it blindly ok but you are learning and doing right? Just know that there's no right or wrong when you starting everything is practice from your first event to the next online in person big company event and you got to make it happen. Remember the training when you decided that you would give it a go being a team player. That is what learning and doing is learning your products and or services while you do the work I mean after one good year of full training you think we all be ready yet some still get spoked from one or two "No's"  "No Show"  yet others use it as fuel to get better keep doing while learning like I said is not always easy but it's doable once you decide how to start.
  • A gentle invitation to begin building one step at a time. Listen we all have been there a time or two, working one -two possibly three and although it is justifying the means to and end. Just what if there is a better way, one that will require just as much time if not more time than you are putting in right now? We all start out wanting to make more income and along the journey we find that money is only the tool when allocated properly becomes the wealth building vehicle.  Now don't get me wrong working those two-three jobs earnings allocated in the wealth building direction works as well but what if you could build something that worked for you. Yes, you will have to do the work first, you will practice the work that you do and soon the work that you do will work for you.  I care to bet that you probably are doing something right now that you love yet on a small scale probably gave it much thought about what you do on a larger scale of possibilities. Made you have forgotten how to dream, it's been so long that you have even thought about the things you use to dream about or possible having a sense that you could possibly benefit from doing something new. All it requires is for you to decide that you will at least take a peek at the possibility of what life offers to begin the wheels turning.  What if I could start building something that could last long after I am gone? Have you ever wondered what it would be?
  • Information Is Only the Beginning

    Information is a wonderful resource.

It opens our minds, answers our questions, and introduces us to possibilities we may never have considered.

But information alone doesn't create change.

Once we find the information, we have a choice.

Will we keep it to ourselves?

Will we apply it to our own lives?

Will we share what we've learned with someone else?

Acquiring information is only the first step.

Understanding how it applies to your life is the second.

Putting it into practice is the third.

Only then do the roots of change begin to grow.

The more we learn, the more we do.

The more we do, the more our actions begin to change us.

Eventually, our lives begin to reflect what we've been practicing all along.

  • Responsibility Changed Everything

    For years I told myself,

"One day, when the time is right..."

Maybe you've said those words too.

One day I'll go back to school.

One day I'll start the business.

One day I'll write the book.

One day I'll take better care of myself.

Then one day I realized something.

No one was coming to build my life for me.

That realization began shortly after graduating high school.

Like many young adults, I was entering a season filled with transitions, uncertainty, and decisions that would shape my future.

I still remember how uncomfortable it felt to speak up for myself.

    Every job interview.

    Every college class.

    Every employer.

Every new opportunity required me to find my voice.

  • Looking back, I realize I couldn't control everything that happened to me, but I could take responsibility for how I responded and what I chose to build next.

    That changed everything.

Not because life suddenly became easier.

But because I stopped waiting for permission to grow.

    Each decision...

    Each habit...

    Each lesson...

    Each success...

    Each disappointment...

    Quietly built confidence.

I've learned that confidence isn't something we're born with.

    Confidence is developed over time.

  • Learning Must Become Doing

One of the greatest lessons I've learned is that learning and doing must walk together.

    I love learning.

    I attend trainings.

    I read books.

    I ask questions.

    I take notes.

I listen to people who have been doing what I hope to learn.

But eventually there comes a moment when learning must become action.

    And honestly?

    That first step feels awkward.

    Sometimes exciting.

    Sometimes scary.

    Sometimes uncomfortable.

    Yet it is necessary.

No amount of preparation can completely replace experience.

    Practice becomes our teacher.

  • The work itself becomes the classroom.

I've also learned that remaining coachable is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves.

    Every mentor.

    Every teacher.

    Every teammate.

Every opportunity has something to teach us—if we're willing to learn.

Building One Step at a Time

    People often ask what works.

I smile because the answer is usually simpler than they expect.

    You.

  • Not a perfect version of you.

    The willing version of you.

The version that keeps showing up.

The version that continues learning after making mistakes.

The version that isn't afraid to begin before having everything figured out.

When I first started, my family probably wondered what I was doing next.

To be honest, sometimes I wondered too.

But every step taught me something.

    Every conversation improved my confidence.

    Every experience strengthened my foundation.

There really is no perfect beginning.

There is only the decision to begin.

  • Many of us are working one, two, sometimes even three jobs while doing our best to care for the people we love.

    I understand that journey.

    I've lived it.

But what if there is another possibility?

What if, alongside everything you're already doing, you begin building something that could continue growing long after today?

What if the work you practice today eventually begins working for you?

What if you've simply forgotten how to dream because life has required so much of you?

Perhaps today isn't about having all the answers.

Perhaps it's simply about allowing yourself to take a peek at what might be possible.

    One decision.

    One conversation.

    One lesson.

    One step.

  • Because every strong future begins with a single decision to build.

And maybe that's where your journey begins.

    With gratitude,
